Leanna was over-the-moon to originate the role of The Countess in the world premiere of LET'S MISBEHAVE (The Cambridge Foundry 8/2024), a sweet, saucy, heartfelt, brand new Jazz-Age romp of a play by Lawrence Gullo, Leanna's favorite character she's ever played!

Leanna received a BFA in Theatre Performance from Miami University with a focus in The Victorian Era, trained with Anne Bogart and the SITI Company at Skidmore College, trained with the Society of American Fight Directors and became a certified Actor-Combatant in knife, hand-to-hand and single sword. She began her career with the Cincinnati Shakespeare Company playing leading roles in touring productions and developing a one-woman Alice In Wonderland piece adapted from the works of Lewis Carroll and the diaries of Alice Pleasance Liddell. During a stint in the Twin Cities she was named an “Outstanding New Face” by the Minneapolis Star-Tribune for her leading role as Isabel in Tennessee Williams’ Period of Adjustment and “Best Actress” by Lavender Magazine for the same role. She played Benvolio and served as Fight Captain in Romeo and Juliet for Park Square theatre and was involved with many Fringe festival shows and other regional credits on stage and independent film. Favorite roles include Mina in Dracula (Commonweal Theatre), Lucy in Dracula (Cincinnati Shakespeare Company) and originating the role of The Countess in the world premiere of Let's Misbehave (The Cambridge Foundry, Pansy Rampant Productions). Leanna lives and works as an actress and author in New York, is a ghost tour guide for Boroughs of the Dead tour company and is a proud member of Actors Equity Association and SAG-AFTRA and has worked on shows like Boardwalk Empire.
